French Songs at Notorious Jazz Club Buenos Aires

Nana, the French anti-diva francesa of Buenos Aires, presents her new cabaret of original songs without border. A live performance full of colourfull surprises.

NANAeNADA is an international band whose members have met in Buenos Aires: a French singer of a German mother and a Tunisian father, a Swiss double-bass player of a Polish mother, a US trompetist and Argentinian pianist, guitarist and drummer.

This mix of origins reflects into the songs, with- most of them- French lyrics, coloured by melancoly or humor, in a very unique style of pop-chanson combining jazz, tango, Cuban son and cumbia.
The music is backgrounded by a kitsch, nearly theatrical estetic, with stories told as well as sung, from the onirical to the nostalgic up to the erotical passing by the merely humoristic, while Nana, kind of anti-diva, shows off her multiples faces.

NANAeNADA has been performing since 2008 in Buenos Aires during the Bicentenario festivities, or at the French Alliance, Notorious and Samsung Studio.

Ricardo Salton (Ámbito Financiero): «With the atmosphere of the French and German cabarets, the show of the French actress and singer Myriam Henne-Adda («Nana e Nada»), belongs to those surprises which can provide the entertainment section of Buenos Aires, and which is worth being known». She is « a good singer. She is audacious. She is different. She is French but you can note her very much attached to the Río de la Plata. She is worth being known ».
